A vivacious vegetarian café is reminiscent of a rustic beach shack, quickly filling up each day with locals, surfers and tourists after their smooth Proud Mary coffee and hearty cooking. Aside from the vegetarian brief, the menu sticks to few rules, circling the globe with brunch interpretations of international favourites including putting an egg on everything from nasi goreng and mushroom ragout to a breakfast salad.

Ginger Monkey is an awesome breaky place with amazing coffee. Featuring breaky staples like porridge and eggs on toast but also including some funky options like their huevos rancheros and nasi goreng options.

A wonderful space! Inside, outside seating and fantastic outdoor bench seated area which is perfect option for groups.Can confirm, they do a mean juice and one of the ONLY local cafes that serve ceremonial cacao 🍫☕🍋

Rustic and cozy place with plenty of parking space. Best vegetarian I have had. I had the Breakie Burrito and my friend had Marinated Tofu Norish Bowl. The serves are substantial. We are both very happy with our meals. Both plates are full of goodness with proteins and well balanced ingredients. Strongly recommended for a healthy and hearty meal.

Had the Mexican scrambled eggs thing, a tuna melt and some delicious coffee. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food. Would go again.

Popped in here for a takeaway coffee the first time I visited Ginger Monkey...Had a mocha and it was really good!Second time around it seemed like a busy lunch service on a Tuesday. Had coffee, Buddha Bowl style meal and a brownie. Very happy with the speed of service and quality of food.Staff were friendly both visits and there were a good range of options for meals and sweets.Well worth checking out!

Staff are always lovely and very helpful. Salads are always second-to-none. Vego sausage rolls are what we come back for again and again. Great coffee and sitting outside is excellent. Ticks all the boxes!

We had a delicious lunch here when we arrived in Torquay for the weekend. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for breakfast, and that was even better. The porridge and granola were fantastic. I also really enjoyed their matcha / turmeric blend drink. Very friendly service too. We were actually going to come back the day after AGAIN for breakfast(!) but we’re very upset to find they’re closed on Sundays 😭

Insanely good coffee and the staff are so great with food issues as myself and my daughter have a few. This place is vegetarian and does it better than most regular cafes. Cannot recommend this place highly enough...

Located just off the main highway in Torquay, I sat outside under a well placed umbrella, cute rustic outdoor furniture. Fast service, nice atmosphere, a good menu, delicious coffee.

Chai latte with honey tasted fantastic, bit spicy but quite authentic. Waited 20min for it and ended up forgetting our order twice, got a refund with the free coffee. Portuguese tart was cold but overall good

This cafe does a great brew of Chai. I compliment staff every cuppa. Hence perfect dirty chai all the time. Staff is friendly. Super. And food is amazeballs. Taco Tuesday are bombs!! And the best lemon slice! Ample of sittings for the intimates or groupings. Indoor and outdoor.

Love this place .My favourite coffee shop in Torquay, but there's a lot more to this place than coffee.Great healthy relaxed look and feel to this place , a touch bohemian ,Go there......you will love it.
